She travelled a considerable distance to get to us each time but never once complained and was always incredibly reassuring, professional, supportive, sweet and kind. When it came to the actual birth, my labour started off as a very stop-start affair due to me worrying about my toddler, but Anika’s intuition and support was absolutely spot on and my healthy, beautiful little boy was born at home in a birth pool exactly as I had hoped. ”Anika was my Private Midwife and her service was second to none. She was so lovely, friendly and knowledgeable and i felt like not only did she listen and put my wants and needs first and foremost, but I could really be open, honest and myself with her around. I trusted her advice and was so glad to have her by my side for the birth of my first child. I didn't want to use the nhs, or hospital. I had all my appointments at home or with a private provider (i.e for scans). I opted for a water birth at home, Anika helped me prepare as well as prepare a backup plan. She was with me from 5am until about 3am the next day through my labour and birth, with frequent follow up meetings afterwards to ensure I had taken to motherhood and I wasn't left wanting of wondering for anything. I've had such a great experience with Anika. It wasn't until speaking with other mothers I could really appreciate how great my experience was and how complete Anika's knowledge and advice is. Things like help with feeding and knowledge of tounge tie etc meant I had alot of knowledge shared with me before the point of needing it. I know others haven't been so fortunate. I really reccomen Anika's service and for those looking into a private midwife and / or a home birth you should get in touch with them. Its worth every penny."

"My 10-month-old daughter had a tongue tie that was affecting her ability to wean onto solids. After the NHS and health visitors were unable to offer any help due to her age, I found Anika.
Even before booking an appointment, Anika was incredibly friendly, helpful, and reassuring. She answered all of my questions promptly and openly, which immediately put me at ease. She was also very flexible with appointment availability, and it was a huge help that she comes to your home.
On the day of the appointment, I was feeling quite anxious, knowing it could be tricky getting a 10-month-old to cooperate with the procedure. However, Anika put me at ease straight away. She even reassured me that if my daughter became too distressed, we could stop and try again another day.
Following a thorough assessment, the procedure itself was completed very quickly and successfully — I had been worrying for nothing. Anika stayed for a good while afterwards, never making us feel rushed, and she was so easy to talk to throughout.

Hi Anika! Thank you so much for checking in, we’re doing great! She is feeding really well. I’ve had a few hurdles (mastitis… twice!) but other than that it’s all going well. Nipple shields are still in use but I don’t mind. Milk supply is still going strong 😂 but has settled down a bit which makes life a lot easier and less messy. Thank you so much for your breastfeeding support and guidance. Without it I would have definitely got her on the bottle and I cannot tell you how happy I am that we found a way. Sending lots of love ❤️

Thanks for the letter. Just want to let you know my daughter is doing a lot better since the tongue tie division, the incision site is healing as expected, she feeds better, sleeps better and her tongue range of movement has improved alot.

Hi Anika,
Chris is doing well, his feeding timings went back to usual last night and he’s been feeding well today too. No reports of any bleeding.
He's been poking his tongue out a lot today which is quite funny to watch!
